This year, we had the privilege of working on Permanent Good: A Duke Documentary, a film celebrating Duke University’s 100-year legacy. From its beginnings as a one-room schoolhouse to becoming one of the world’s leading institutions of higher learning, Duke’s story is one of transformation, innovation, and enduring impact.
Premiering December 5 at the Nasher Museum of Art, the film dives into Duke’s rich history, featuring rare archival images, documents, and audio clips—some being shared for the first time. It also includes interviews with all three living presidents of Duke, along with alumni, faculty, and community leaders, weaving together a narrative that spans over a century.
As Jill Boy, Duke’s Executive Director of the Centennial Celebration, said:
“You want to work with partners who know how to tell beautiful stories, who are committed to excellence, and who bring the highest level of creativity to every project. Blueline is all of that and more. With humor and diligence, they never fail to come through – and come through big! I’m proud of the work we have done together, and owe them a debt of gratitude!”
It has been an honor to capture this legacy and celebrate the moments and people who shaped Duke’s journey.
